Our annual student exhibition season kicks off in August with the Showcase exhibitions in the Project Space. A series of four week-long exhibitions for undergraduate students at MK College, Bucks New University, Bedfordshire University and University of Northampton, the Showcase programme is a unique opportunity for emerging artists to get experience of a professional gallery exhibition. Students are selected for the programme through a written proposal, which can be obtained from subject leaders at the participating universities.

Platform Graduate Award

Contemporary Visual Arts Network (CVAN) South East has partnered with MK Gallery, Aspex, Modern Art Oxford, Turner Contemporary and De Le Warr Pavillion to offer the Platform Graduate Award for final year students in studying in the South East region. Each year five to six final year students from University of Northampton, Bucks New University and Bedfordshire University are selected from their Graduate Shows to take part in a group exhibition in the MK Gallery Project Space. From this, one student is selected to go forward to represent our area of the South Each region and be in with a chance of winning the Platform Graduate Award - which includes a cash prize and mentoring scheme. For more information on the regional scheme visit the Frame and Reference website.

Placements and Internships

MK Gallery’s Learning Team accepts proposals for placements or internships that form part of further or higher education programmes. In particular students studying Education subjects or interested in gaining experience of an informal learning environment would benefit from a short voluntary placement with our team.
