MK Gallery is delighted and proud to remain within the Arts Council’s National Portfolio as it embarks on an ambitious capital expansion. Today, Arts Council England have announced a revenue funding commitment to MK Gallery of £383,307 p/a from 2018/19 to 2021/22.
As a leading educational charity in MK, this funding enables MK Gallery to continue to deliver its diverse programme of exhibitions, events and community programmes, benefiting thousands of people each year. Anthony Spira, MK Gallery Director, speaking about today’s announcement said:
‘Being within Arts Council England’s National Portfolio enables us not only to deliver world-class art to the people of Milton Keynes, but also provides the organisational capacity to support wider improvement in the sector. For example, MK Gallery is supporting the career development of artists living and working in the area, supporting the growth of other arts organisations within the City and contributing to long-term ambitions such as Milton Keynes becoming European Capital of Culture in 2023. We are extremely grateful for Arts Council England’s commitment to MK Gallery and Milton Keynes.’
