MK Calling returns to MK Gallery in January 2020 and will be the first open submissions exhibition to take place in the newly developed and extended building.
Alongside an exhibition in the galleries, MK Gallery is inviting artists working in performance, film, music and all other art forms to submit their work for a programme of events.
Fay Blanchard, Head of Exhibitions at MK Gallery said “We ‘re delighted to invite artists working across all art forms to submit work to be a part of MK Calling 2020. Previous exhibitions have shown an amazing range of work and we’re hugely excited to see a range of submissions for 2020.”
Elizabeth Brown, Exhibitions Co-ordinator at MK Gallery said “We’re inviting applications from artists connected to or whose work relates to Milton Keynes and the idea of the ‘New City’ in the broadest sense. We’re excited to work with artists on the first MK Calling in our new building.”
Lizzie and Fay are pictured with Lee Farmer, a previous exhibitor at MK Calling. Lee said “I've been involved with MK Gallery for many years and to have the opportunity to exhibit at such a high profile, credible institution was a great opportunity for me. Now that MK Gallery has re-opened in its bigger and even better state, I’m sure MK Calling 2020 will be a fantastic show other artists will want to be be involved in.”
Applications are accepted from artists working in any medium as well as artist collectives and artists working collaboratively.
