Join us in exploring drawing from movement inspired by our current exhibition, Laura Knight: A Panoramic View, in this engaging and intimate drawing class led by artist Paul Berryman.
Dame Laura Knight was famous for her ability to make a quick sketch from movement, spending much of her time behind the scenes at the ballet, theatre and circus.
Starting with an out of hours, spotlight tour of Laura Knight: A Panoramic View focusing on Laura Knight’s ‘Ballet’ portraits, you will then be guided through a number of techniques to create our own observational drawings of dancer and choreographer Olivia Thynne. This is an unique opportunity to experience and enjoy drawing from live performance to translate movement onto paper.
