Love cinema but it too dark and loud? Relaxed screenings offer a quieter and brighter space to relax and enjoy the latest films.

These are tailored for those who identify as neurodiverse.

We have something for everyone, from kids’ cinema to school-only screenings of live performances.

During the summer holidays we run Summer Replay. Perfect for the whole family, our programme features a spectacular lineup of the latest and greatest children’s films, guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages.

Visitor Information

  • Doors open: the auditorium doors open 10 mins before the start of the film however, we invite you to enjoy your pre show drinks and snacks in our café.
  • Food and drink: items purchased in the MK Gallery Café are allowed in the Cinema. This includes hot, cold and alcoholic drinks.
  • Trailers: there will be approx. 10 mins of trailers from the programme start time – this may vary by a few minutes.
  • Admits: Please note that if you arrive more than 15 mins after the programme start time (5 mins into the feature) you might be refused entry as not to disturb the enjoyment of the film by others. Refunds will not be offered.
  • If you are watching an NT Live or RBO: While the auditorium will open up to 10 mins prior to the start time, we encourage you to arrive in plenty of time to allow you to enjoy drinks/snacks and in the café beforehand.
  • How to find us: The Sky Room cinema is located on the second floor of the MK Gallery building. You can enter through the shop or the café entrance during the day (10am-5pm) however, if you are arriving for an evening performance, please use the café entrance only. This is located on the left hand side of the building.
  • Are you watching an age restricted movie? Please note that we operate under the BBFC classification guidelines. In order to stay compliant, we may ask you to provide a proof of your age. Entry may be refused if you are unable to prove your age. Refunds will not be offered
  • Carers: we will ask for proof of eligibility for your free tickets.
