Toddle Tour: Andy Warhol – Portrait of America

Join artist and performer Julia Collar and explore the exciting sensory qualities of our exhibition Andy Warhol: Portrait of America. Artworks will be brought to life for your little ones with music, story-telling, object handling, dress up and play! About the exhibition Andy Warhol (1928-1987) was a leading figure in American Pop art. This ARTIST ROOMS exhibition of works from the 1950s – 80s includes early drawings, painted-silkscreens and photographic series featuring Warhol’s collaborations with artists, friends, filmmakers and celebrities. Images of Marilyn Monroe, Liz Taylor, and Warhol himself, feature alongside icons of American consumerism as well as symbols of the artists fascination with mortality: guns, skulls and war.

MK Gallery’s Art Together programme offers a unique workshop every half-term holiday, designed specifically for families who have a child or children aged 5+ with additional or complex support needs. Join the IPA team and two Associate Artists, to create, play, and explore as a family in an open and friendly shared space.  £7 per family  Places for this workshop must be pre-booked.
