Enhance your visit to our L.S. Lowry exhibition, with our new sensory tour kit! Co-designed by Collar & Cuffs Co, Robin Clements, and participants from MK SNAP, Camphill MK Communities and St Paul’s Catholic School Visual Impairment department, the kit includes a range of sensory delights for you to touch, interact with and listen to, alongside unique personal interpretations of artworks.

Experiment and play with artist Lisa Tilley! Bring the outside in with these autumnal themed workshops.

You can use natural materials such as leaves and plants in different ways. You can try painting with leaves and inks, pressing plants into clay and making prints with petals. There will be no wrong or right way, we’ll have a play and let the magic happen!

This programme is part of Milton Keynes Council’s EHCP+ offer.

These are quiet hours to view our exhibition L.S. Lowry: The Theatre of Life, tailored to support disabled and neurodivergent visitors, or anyone with sensory needs who prefers a quieter gallery experience.

A day of participation, exploration and discussion surrounding the philosophy, practice and learning behind MK Gallery’s two-year Sensory Engagement Partnership with specialist practitioner Collar & Cuffs Co, developed alongside MK Gallery’s community partners.  

With specialist guest speakers, Producer and Curator Jennifer Gilbert (Jennifer Lauren Gallery) and artists from Blue Room supported Studio (The Bluecoat, Liverpool). 

Drop into the studio and start getting festive! Meet the artists and start your ‘indie’ Christmas shopping with a unique new range of artist Christmas cards, 2027 calendars, postcards and prints, all designed by Our Studio participants.

Our Studio is a supported studio programme for disabled and neurodivergent 14-25yr olds. 

Join Deaf tour guide Chisato Minamimura for an in-depth exploration of MK Gallery’s highly anticipated solo exhibition of works by British painter L.S.Lowry.

This event is designed for visitors who are blind or partially sighted, and their companions.

Join our specialist tour guides to explore L.S. Lowry: The Theatre of Life. This solo exhibition of the work of Laurence Stephen Lowry (1887 – 1976) marks the 50th anniversary of the Painter’s death, and 13 years since his last significant institutional show. Lowry was a British painter, best known for his industrial landscapes of northwest of England.

With in-depth descriptions and hand-held touch elements, the tour will guide visitors through a unique selection of key artworks.

Join our Inclusion Team and specialist Associate Artists to explore, experiment and play every school holiday!

With fun for all the family, Art Together sessions are designed for children and young people aged 5-25yrs with additional and complex support needs, and their families. The workshop space offers multiple creative options for children and families to engage with on their own terms, completely pressure free. A chill-out area is always available and preparation material will be sent to your family in advance so you know what to expect on the day.

Join artist Robin Clements for a hands-on creative workshop taking inspiration from the work of L.S. Lowry, uniquely designed for those who are blind or partially sighted, and their companions.

Our tactile workshops take place in small groups, creating a warm and friendly space where you can meet and socialise with others, whilst getting creative. This workshop lasts just over 2 hours, with a tea break half way through.
